Helene Nguyen is an Engineering Associate at TEI Planning + Design, where she supports transportation projects through field observations, plan development, topographic base preparation, and quality control. She enjoys understanding how the many technical, operational, and design considerations behind a transportation project come together to create practical solutions.
Helene earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Her interest in transportation engineering grew through coursework and project experience focused on traffic operations and roadway design, where she found that combining field observations with technical analysis was one of the most rewarding parts of the work. Prior to joining TEI, she worked on municipal infrastructure and TxDOT roadway projects, building experience in roadway design, transportation operations, and multidisciplinary coordination.
Outside of work, Helene enjoys strength training, exploring Houston, and trying new restaurants.
