Andrew is a professional engineer who came to TEI after six years working in residential land development. He earned his BS in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University at College Station.
As an Associate II with TEI, Andrew’s skills include conceptual planning and design of complete street improvements, trails for people who walk and bike, traffic signals, roundabouts, and safety countermeasures. In places where streets do double duty conveying both people and stormwater, Andrew’s experience with drainage development is highly relevant to capital project planning.
As a Texan from the small town of Winnie, Andrew lived first along a rural highway, and later in town, where he could bike to visit friends and family or go get a snow cone. Andrew enjoyed the freedom that comes from living in a more walkable and accessible place.
Andrew moved to Houston after college and after living and driving here for five years, he now wants to do everything he can to make the city a better place to live. In 2023, Andrew sold his car in favor of an electric bike to enjoy both the personal and societal benefits of multimodal transportation. He is excited to help local governments offer communities more and better ways to get around.
In his free time, Andrew loves walking and biking around Montrose, catching live music, rock climbing at the local gym, and enjoying all the different flavors of food Houston has to offer.
