Originally from Pensacola, Florida, Ryan graduated with Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and International Relations from the University of West Florida. He became involved in transportation after interning with former United States Senator Bill Nelson, who at the time was the ranking member on the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.
After working for Nelson, Ryan earned a Masters degree in City and Regional Planning from Georgia Tech, specializing in transportation planning. As a graduate student, he worked with agencies around the world, including Georgia’s State Road and Tollway Authority, San Francisco’s SFMTA, Seattle’s King County Metro, and the Shinagawa prefecture in Tokyo, Japan.
As an Associate III with TEI, Ryan focuses on transit planning and design, developing district-level mobility plans, optimizing transit networks, and designing intuitive, stylish accompanying graphics.
Beyond the office, Ryan enjoys painting, photography, making digital art, and birdwatching. Wherever he travels, you may find him identifying local birds in the area.
