Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, Siri now lives in Houston’s Midtown, where she enjoys the neighborhood’s rich culture, history, and easy train access. She studied Latin American Studies and Urban Studies at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis before joining TEI as an intern in January 2025. Growing up, she relied heavily on the Twin Cities’ bus system—her family practically memorized the network—and later expanded her love for biking and daily train use in college. These experiences shaped her passion for accessible and reliable transportation. She enjoys working in planning and transportation because it allows her to understand the world around her and improve people’s everyday experiences of the city, even in small but meaningful ways.
