Victoria is a Principal Associate at TEI with over 7 years of experience with the firm. She became interested in transportation in high school while visiting a civil engineering firm. After watching a traffic engineer create a traffic network using Synchro, she was hooked. Working for TEI has given her a basis in transportation engineering which is so much more than moving vehicles efficiently; it is the intersection of safety for all modes of travel. Victoria loves to use her knowledge of designing for all modes to ensure that Houstonian’s have a choice in how they get around. Her engineering repertoire includes traffic signal design, major street improvement schematics, bikeway and trail design, traffic operations studies, and traffic modeling.
Victoria is a native Texan who grew up in El Paso. She moved to Houston to attend Rice University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Since graduation, she has enjoyed living in and appreciating the diversity of her adopted City. She is inspired to make Houston a better place for all its people, no matter where they live or what mode of transportation they choose.
Victoria considers herself a people person and enjoys meeting and collaborating with new clients to meet their goals. Her favorite projects are those in which she can work with a wide variety of people and flex her interpersonal communication skills. In her free time, Victoria loves to practice yoga and listen to true-crime podcasts.
